The children of today represent the future of tomorrow, they are indeed our most precious assets and, like any other valuable item, they need to be protected and safeguarded. By completing a child identification kit, you take the first steps in safeguarding your child. While some physical characteristics might change as your child gets older, their fingerprints and DNA will never change. By completinga child ID kit and putting it in a safe place, you will give law enforcement a priceless tool in their efforts to find your child in the unlikely event that they become missing. However protecting your child dose not stop here. As a parent, I urge you to teach your child some basic safety lessons:
1. Never accept a ride or an offer for anything from strangers.
2. Never talk to people that the child do not know.
3. Teach you child at the earliest age possible, their address and telephone number.
4. Teach your child how to get in touch with their local police or sheriff’s office in case of an emergency.
As your children grow older, update your Child Identification Kit, at least every year with new photographs, medical and other records.
